Individual Food Assistance
If you or someone you know is in need of food, North County's Food Bank conducts ongoing weekly food distributions to individuals in need. CLICK on one of the locations listed below for more information.
Food drives are a vital ingredient in our ability to provide food to the more than 18,000 individuals we help serve each month, and we are grateful for your support. Donations to North County's Food Bank stay in North County.
When you raise and donate food or money to North County's Food Bank, you directly impact your community. Donated food is distributed to those in need through our 112 nonprofit partners who serve communities in North County. No one should go hungry! If you are coming from the 78 East: Take the Woodland/Barham exit, Go left on Barham at the end of the exit, Take the first left on Woodland, Take the first left on Rancheros Then take the next right and follow it to the end.
If you are coming from the 78 West: Take the Woodland exit, Turn left at the foot of the exit onto Rancheros drive, Take the next right and follow it to the end. The Food Bank and parking lot will be on your left.
This past year, North County's Food Bank worked with 112 Community Partner Agencies to distribute well over 1.94 million pounds of food. Food donated from grocers, farmers, and wholesalers, and through food drives conducted by schools, businesses, and churches provided over 1.5 million meals to over 243,338 individuals last year.
Hunger has touched thousands of families impacted by job losses as a result of the economic downturn which began in 2008. Over the past 5-years, demand has remained at an all-time high for North County's Food Bank.
With grant funding from the United States Department of Agriculture, NCCS conducted research on food insecurity in the region and created a plan for a Hunger Free North County.
