our child development center kitchens, growing 5,000 pounds of fresh fruits that is incorporated into the lunches and snacks served to the children. The Gardens at North River Road, provides opportunities for volunteers, families, and child development center children to learn where their food comes from. Our preschoolers benefit from a diet rich in fresh vegetables.
We are pleased to announce our partnership with Botanical Community Development Initiatives (BCDI). BCDI connects community with botany. The BCDI team will manage volunteer projects that supports our preschool program as well as grow a variety of wholesome produce to be incorporated in our school meal program.

Growing Minds Edible Gardens - a part of the Learn-Grow-Live initiative
Today, there are gardens at each of Growing Minds' four preschools and our urban farm North River Road. These gardens are made possible with the tremendous effort of volunteers, and corporate supporters. Individuals, families, churches, and businesses that volunteer in our garden program contribute 2150 volunteer hours annually- more than one full time employee!
